I am a South Carolina native, but have lived all over the Carolinas as well as Texas and Cordoba, Argentina. I developed a fascination with the Spanish language and culture at a young age and loved it so much that I went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Clemson University, where I solidified my fluency as well as my historical, geographical and cultural knowledge of all Spanish-speaking regions. My first time traveling abroad was a two-week circumnavigation of Spain and I have since returned multiple times, ventured into Portugal as well as South and Central America. Immersion into the culture is extremely important to truly travel. Leave what you know and your comfort zone at home and see the world from another viewpoint. When not traveling or planning travel, I enjoy running, taking advantage of the beautiful hiking trails around me, trying the new restaurants and wineries, and cooking! My favorite dish is any variation of Arroz con Pollo, hands down. I have three beautiful children and reside in Greenville, South Carolina.

  • Movie Recommendation: “Ferdinand” directed by Carlos Saldanha

  • Favorite Travel Gem: Galicia, Spain. This coastal most northwestern mountainous region of Spain is where the Camino de Santiago leads and where many Madrid citizens take their coastal getaways. It has been referred to as the Cornwall of Spain. For wine lovers wanting their next experience after the Rioja region, Galicia is home to the Albariño white wine grape.

  • Favorite Quote: “It’s not what you look at that matters. It’s what you see.” -Henry David Thoreau
