Waterfalls & Wildlife Day-by-day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Iceland

Welcome to Iceland! Upon arrival, a private driver will pick you up and take you to your accommodation. You will have the day to explore the beautiful capital city at your leisure.

Overnight in Reykjavik

Day 2: Reykjavik

Today we suggest heading on an excursion in Reykjavik. If you enjoy being on the water we recommend heading out for some whale watching in Reykjavik, if you prefer being on land, Iceland has some amazing paths for horseback riding. Your destination specialist will assist you in deciding but whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed.

Day 3: Vik

Enjoy your breakfast in Reykjavik then allow your private driver to take you on the hour and a half drive to Haukadalur Valley where you will see the beautiful Strokkur Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall. Once down admiring the beauty, your private driver will take you to Vik where you will stay for the evening. Before settling into your accommodations, stop by Dyrholaey to watch an amazing view of the sunset.

Day 4: Hofn

This morning, your private driver will pick you up and take you to Reynisfjara Beach to enjoy the view. Next, head to Skogafoss, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland that comes directly from two glaciers. You have the option to enjoy the view from the bottom or hike to the top for a panoramic view. Once you arrive in Hofn you will have the afternoon to explore at your leisure but we recommend getting some rest for an early start tomorrow morning!

Day 5: Stokksnes

Today is going to be a chilly day so dress warm! Your first stop will be at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Enjoy a closer look at the glacier with an extraordinary boat tour. Next, head to the ice caves or Vatnajokull Glacier. Here you will enjoy a guided tour of this once-in-a-lifetime experience. You will finish your day in Stokksnes where you will have the evening to relax.

Day 6: Stokksnes

Enjoy your last full day at the Stokksnes Peninsula, these southeast mountain peaks can reach as high as 1490 feet. Enjoy the afternoon walking around the viking village film set and enjoy the spectacular views of the black sand dunes and beaches.

Day 7: Depart for Home

After you enjoy breakfast, a private driver will pick you up and take you on the scenic five hour drive to the airport.
